Apply to be a Muse

We are looking for muses who are comfortable being seen. Traditionally, our muses pose in the nude as we create ceramic sculptures inspired by their body. We also have sessions where muses are partial or implied nude. This is an adult friendly, mature, art-focused experience. We create sculptures that honor the human form.

Unlike traditional figure art spaces, we spend time getting to know our muses through conversations and opening the floor to our students to ask questions. This experience is part of what sets our classes apart from others. Willingness to engage in honest conversation is a part of being a Hewman Studios muse.

Please note that most classes take place at Hewman studios located in Long Beach. However, opportunities do arise in other cities and out of state, so if you are not local to the Los Angeles area please do not hesitate to apply.

Position Requirements: 

• Over age 21

• Comfortable with posing nude

• Reliable and punctual

• Personable and excited to engage with our students in conversation
